Children

Living in the context of a domestic abuse relationship can put children at risk of witnessing or experiencing abuse themselves, or can adversely affect them as they are forced to navigate the abusive dynamic within the home. Changing Pathways can support your client to safeguard their children by carrying out personalised safety planning, helping the client to leave or stay safely. We are also happy to take part in TAF meetings and contribute to CIN and CP plans.

We offer training to agencies working with children to better understand the impact of domestic abuse on children, and the challenges that carers face when attempting to leave. Details of our training can be found here, and you can refer your client to Changing Pathways for support here.
