Police

We accept referrals from police for standard, medium and high risk clients who are at current risk of domestic abuse, including coercive control and stalking. We attend local MARAC meetings for high risk clients and take a proactive role in safety planning for clients.

Whist we support clients to report crimes to the police, we are a client-led service and respect their autonomy if they do not wish to do so.

We offer advocacy to our clients who may wish to speak to the police about their experiences, and will ask for updates with the client’s consent. We can likewise provide information, and provide a crucial link to the police for clients who are too traumatised to do so themselves.

You can refer your client to our service here.

Police guidelines for investigating cases of domestic abuse can be found here.
